Simon Orr BVSc DVR MRCVS - Managing Partner
I graduated from Bristol University in 1976 and remained at Bristol to study for my Diploma in Veterinary Radiology. I then worked briefly in Basingstoke before joining my wife Cathie at Castle Vets in 1981. I joined the partnership in 1984 and started to develop my interest in ophthalmology. I became involved in the British Small Animal Veterinary Association on committees and progressed to be President of the Association in 1996-97. I retain an interest in BSAVA and other veterinary groups and especially in practice management. Recently I am enjoying being able to spend more time on 'real' hands-on veterinary work.
David Terry BVSc MRCVS - Partner
I graduated from Bristol University in 1990, and started work at Castle Vets almost immediately after qualification, along with my fiancée, now wife, Ruth. I developed an interest in dermatology and started studying for the Certificate qualification but family life intervened. I joined the partnership in 2001. I retain an interest in skin cases and also in soft tissue surgery, and also work hard to understand the management element of running a small business.
Peter Jackman BVSc (Hons) MRCVS - Associate
I graduated with Honours from Bristol University in 1988, and have worked at Castle Vets since then. I enjoy all aspects of small animal veterinary work, but have a particular interest in feline medicine, in which I completed a modular course in 2003.
Clare Hepher BVetMed MRCVS - Associate
I have worked at Castle Vets since 1998, since graduating at Glasgow University. I enjoy all aspects of small animal general practice and am especially interested in medicine.
Christel Robbins BVSc GPCert(SAP) MRCVS - Associate
Member British Association of Veterinary Acupuncturists
I qualified from Bristol in 2002 and hold the General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Practice, which I gained in 2004. I enjoy general medical and surgical cases and have a particular interest in ultrasound, of both the heart and abdomen. I also treat animals using acupuncture and have had fantastic feedback from owners of both dogs and cats, especially in cases of osteoarthritis.
