Fees and Payments
Our intention is to provide a competitively and fairly priced service for you and your pet. A consultation fee is charged every time you see the vet. If you have any concerns about treatment costs or your ability to pay your bill, please talk to the vet as soon as possible.
We will give be happy to give you an estimate for any treatment costs and will always keep you informed of ongoing costs for hospitalised patients.
We accept most credit and debit cards and payments by cash. Following the closure of the Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme on 30 June 2011, we will only accept payment by cheque with the prior agreement of a practice Partner. You will always be given an itemised receipt so that you can see exactly what you have paid for.
We strongly recommend that you insure your pet. For large insurance claims it is sometimes possible to claim fees above your policy excess directly from your insurers. For more information on pet insurance please see separate sheet or ask a member of staff.
We understand that affording veterinary care for pets can be a worry for some people. We work closely with the local and national charities including RSPCA, Cats Protection and PDSA to provide support for people receiving state benefits. We are a PDSA PetAid practice, providing free veterinary care for eligible pet owners. See www.pdsa.org.uk for more details.
