At Castle Vets we aim to provide outstanding veterinary care to improve the quality of life for pets, their owners and our staff.
Castle Vets has been caring for pets in the Reading area since the 19th century and has existed as a small animal practice on our site in Tilehurst Road since 1972. Click for a map and directions.
Our 10 vets, 14 veterinary nurses, student nurses and reception staff offer a wide range of expertise to provide individually tailored care for your pet in sickness and health.
In 2004 we extensively modernised our premises and are proud to be the only local practice offering completely separate cat friendly facilities. This integrated Cat Clinic recently won a Gold Award from The Feline Advisory Bureau and is part of our outstanding modern layout including segregated in-patient wards and operating theatres, comfortable waiting areas and a large car park.
Out of hours emergencies
Emergency veterinary care is provided by Vets Now who occupy our premises at night, on weekends and public holidays.
Their staff will treat your pet or offer advice in an emergency. They also care for our patients that are hospitalised overnight.
